The general public has called for a boycott of soft drink brand Coca-Cola in Bangladesh in line with the rest of the world over the Palestinian-Israeli issue. Recently, there has been a lot of discussion and criticism in social media about an advertisement of this soft drink in Bangladesh.
Many people think that Kajal Arefin Omi has made this advertisement as actors Sharaf Ahmed Jibon and Shimul Sharma are seen as models. But it was later revealed that he did not make the advertisement. Still, people's reactions didn't stop. The Bachelor Point creator has given a status on Facebook about the matter.
Kajal Arefin Omi wrote in the status given on Tuesday (June 11) afternoon, 'Humanity and conscience are two things that make a person a complete human being. I always try to keep humanity and conscience awake through my work. Since last Eid ul-Fitr, we have been shooting Female-4 in the heat wave for 12 consecutive days on a wide scale and the whole unit works hard together, just to entertain you. I'm a director. When actors and actresses come to work on my project, I only give them directions. I have no involvement in their personal lives, their work, their journeys. Actress Anjana Rahman Passes Away at 59
Renowned actress Anjana Rahman, who won the prestigious National Film Award, passed away on January 4 while receiving treatment at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
Misha Sawdagar, president of the Artists' Association, confirmed her death.
Anjana had been in a coma for 10 days, undergoing treatment in an ICU at a private hospital in Dhaka. Despite extensive medical care, her condition continued to worsen. She was transferred to BSMMU on the night of January 1, after being ill for 15 days. Initially, she showed symptoms of fever and tremors, and it was later discovered that she had developed a blood infection. Following the doctor's advice, she was promptly hospitalized.
Anjana Rahman was a beloved figure in Bangladeshi cinema and gained international recognition for her roles in joint productions and foreign films.
Born on June 27, 1965, Anjana made her acting debut with the film "Dasyu Bonhur", which marked the beginning of her remarkable career. Over the years, she appeared in more than 300 films, earning National Film Awards twice for her outstanding performances in 'Parineeta' and 'Gangchill'.
She was particularly famous for her collaborations with the legendary actor Nayak Raj Razzak, having worked together on 30 films. Musfiq R Farhan Hospitalized Due to Illness
Popular television actor Mushfiq R Farhan has been hospitalized after falling ill. Director Dipu Hazra confirmed the news, revealing that Farhan became suddenly unwell on Friday (January 3), while shooting for a drama.
He experienced symptoms of fever and body aches, prompting his immediate admission to a hospital in Uttara.
However, Farhan was not satisfied with the initial treatment and was transferred to another private hospital in the capital for further care.
The actor had been scheduled to shoot a drama with actress Safa Kabir on Saturday, January 4, but due to his health condition, the shoot was unfortunately cancelled.
