Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz issued a stark warning on Saturday, threatening that Tehran would "burn" if Iran continued its missile strikes against Israel, as tensions between the two nations escalated for a second consecutive day.

"The Iranian dictator is holding his own people hostage, pushing them toward devastation," Katz said in an official statement. "If Ayatollah Ali Khamenei persists in targeting Israeli civilians with missile attacks, the consequences will be severe, especially for Tehran."
Katz emphasised that further aggression from Iran would provoke a devastating response, with the Iranian capital bearing the brunt of the fallout.
