Iran has issued a sharp warning to Western powers, stating that any military support for Israel will trigger direct retaliation against their regional bases and warships.
Citing Iranian state media, the BBC reported on Friday afternoon (14 June) that Tehran has placed military installations and naval assets belonging to the United States, United Kingdom, and France under its surveillance. Iran declared that if these countries assist Israel in any form, their regional bases will become legitimate targets.
Reuters also reported that Iran warned it would be "forced to act" if the Western powers provide defence support to Israel, indicating that military escalation beyond Israel's borders is a serious possibility.
According to Iranian sources, Tehran's message is clear: any foreign interference in its ongoing operation against Israel will push the situation into a broader war.
Israel has previously stated that it is closely cooperating with its international allies to counter potential Iranian aggression. However, Iran’s latest threats have significantly raised the stakes.
Experts suggest that Iran's direct mention of the US, UK, and France marks a notable shift in its diplomatic posture. The warning signals a deepening crisis in the Middle East, with the risk of large-scale conflict growing more imminent.
