After inauguration of fourth generation internet service 4 G the government according to its promise has taken initiatives to start 5 G service. People may get the fifth generation internet service from next year (2020).
Commissioner of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Aminul Hasan said at a program on Wednesday that the government will offer 5 G licenses for mobile phone operators in 2020.
According to that information the mobile phone internet users will get the internet service in the next year.
The Commissioner also said, to ensure the service mobile phone operators have to complete many activities.
On February 19 last year the government handed over 4 G licenses to mobile phone operators in the country. With this the era of fourth generation internet service was introduced.
By this time around 1 crore 17 lakh mobile phone users have taken the facilities.
Mentionable, pledge of starting 5 G service in the country was given in the election manifesto of ruling Awami League government.
