Indian Cricket Stars Including Shubman Gill Set to be Rested in Bangladesh Series
India is fielding a full-strength team to play the Test series against Bangladesh, which recently whitewashed Pakistan. However, the country is resting several star cricketers in the T20 series.
The India-Bangladesh series will begin on September 19 in Chennai. India has kept all the senior cricketers in the team for the first Test. The Indian media said that the second test squad will be a strong team.
Citing BCICC sources, the Indian media PTI said that Shubman Gill will not be in the T20 series for sure. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and some other cricketers are also likely to miss the series. Rishabh Pant's name can also be added here based on the situation.
As per a report by PTI, India's no.3 batter in Tests will skip the T20 series ahead of the three-Test series against New Zealand. He is one of the few players who will recharge ahead of the grueling season of Test cricket.
Ishan Kishan can be seen in the Bangladesh series scoring a century in the last innings of the Duleep Trophy.
