The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has once again visited the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) as part of its ongoing investigation into various allegations, including financial misconduct. This marks the second raid in recent weeks, following a similar operation last month.

On Saturday (May 17), the BCB headquarters — usually bustling with activity — remained quiet due to the national team's ongoing tour of the United Arab Emirates and several youth-level series being held elsewhere.

However, by early afternoon, the atmosphere shifted. At exactly 1:00 pm, four ACC officials arrived at the BCB office, surpassing the number of officers present during the previous visit, which involved three investigators.

According to sources, the latest probe focuses on alleged irregularities in the BCB’s constitution, questions surrounding the legitimacy of the current board, corruption in the third-division team selection process during the tenure of the former board president, and financial misconduct accusations against the current president, Faruk Ahmed.

Just 15 minutes after the ACC officials arrived, BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury Sujon was seen entering the premises.

Last month, the ACC investigated allegations related to BPL ticket sales and other financial irregularities. Following that raid, the commission reported uncovering substantial evidence of financial discrepancies.
