BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, let’s build national consensus. Let’s establish rule of people by creating national consensus to defeat the terrible monster that is looting away everything from us. The country and democracy should be freed through participation of all in the movement.
He said these after inaugurating a photograph exhibition in front of the party central office at Nayapaltan in the capital on Friday.
Mirza Fakhrul demanded immediate release of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and said that otherwise people will free her by breaking the shackles of prison.
Upholding example of Malaysia he said, look at Malaysia. See, how people responded to the truth. People’s opinion cannot be resisted with any force if corruption takes place. That was proved there.
About the law suit filed against Khaleda Zia, Fakhrul said, yesterday the government side could not show any evidence. They want to manage one party based election mechanism again by keeping Begum Zia confined in the jail.
BNP Chairperson’s Adviser Aman Ullah Aman, Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Jasas Vice-president Shairul Kabir Khan and others were present in the program.
