The dismembered body of Parliament member for Jhenaidah-4 Constituency Anwarul Azim Anar was recovered from a flat in Sanjiva Garden in Newtown area of West Bengal, India. Police from Technocity police station in the state recovered his dismembered body. His body was recovered on Wednesday after being missing for 9 consecutive days.
According to the police, it was not possible to recover the entire body of the MP. The body parts were smuggled in trolleys, and the remains were recovered. Sensational information has emerged in this incident.
It is known that a total of six people were involved in this murder. All of them are Bangladeshi citizens. After the killing of the MP, five returned home and one is still in India. However, it is also known that one out of five people who returned to Bangladesh have crossed over to another country. And the Indian police is trying to arrest the person.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested two people on suspicion of being involved in the incident after receiving a complaint of missing persons. During interrogation, they said that the body is in Sanjiva Garden. That information was given to the Kolkata Police. Later on Wednesday, the Indian police recovered the body.
It is also known that the owner of the flat from which the dismembered body of Anwarul Azim Anar was recovered is also a Bangladeshi. He went to India and bought the flat by making fake documents. It is reported that Kolkata police also looking for him.
Kolkata Bidhannagar Police Deputy Commissioner Manav Shringla said that the cab driver confessed to killing the person he picked up on May 13 after dismembering the body.
Police officials said CCTV footage showed the flat where he was taken; It is surrounded by the police. No one is allowed to enter there yet.
The police said that three people were seen entering the flat in the CCTV footage. One of them is a woman.
