Along with India, China also offered Bangladesh to work on the Teesta Master Plan. Now they are waiting for Bangladesh government's decision on this. China has informed there is no problem to work together with India in this project if necessary.
On Thursday (July 4), the Chinese Ambassador of Dhaka, Yao Wen, expressed his interest about Teesta project in a meeting organized by diplomatic journalists' organization D Cab.
He said that China is willing to work together with India in the Teesta Master Plan project. We will respect any decision. We are still waiting for Bangladesh's response.
The Chinese ambassador said that this is the river of Bangladesh. Therefore, Bangladesh has to decide on the Teesta project. Whoever works on this project, let it end quickly; That is what we want. We want the North's problem to be solved quickly. If necessary, China is willing to work together with India on the Teesta Master Plan.
