Fakhrul's statement after meeting with Chief Advisor

Three leaders including BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir held a meeting with Dr Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor of the interim government.

The meeting was held on Thursday (August 29) afternoon at Jamuna, the State Guest House.

After the one-and-a-half-hour meeting, Mirza Fakhrul told reporters that the Chief Advisor had called for discussion. The discussion was very productive.

He also said we are optimistic. The interim government led by Yunus with their sincerity, patriotism, and competence can bring Bangladesh to a stable state very quickly and make the necessary reforms and move towards elections.

This BNP leader said that there was no discussion about the possible date of the election. We won't say a date. They will say it.

Earlier, a three-member delegation headed by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir arrived at the State Guest House Jamuna at 4 pm today. At that time, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and Salahuddin Ahmed were members of the party's standing committee.

Apart from this, planning and education advisor Prof. Wahid Uddin Mahmud and Law advisor Prof. Asif Nazrul were present at the meeting.
