There has been severe traffic jam in the Narayanganj section of the Dhaka-Chattogram highway. From Sanarpar in Siddhirganj to Langalband, a 14 km traffic jam is seen. Passengers and drivers have suffered greatly.
On Friday (August 30) at 11 o'clock, it is seen that the suffering of passengers has increased due to traffic congestion. It takes them more than an hour to cover their 10-minute journey.
Transport workers and eyewitnesses said that traffic on the Chattogram-bound lane of the Dhaka-Chattogragm highway was suddenly stopped early on Friday. This caused a disruption in traffic on the Chattogram-bound lane.
Kanchpur Highway Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rezaul Haque told the media that a vehicle broke down on the highway in Langalband area around 7 am. This creates traffic jams on the highway. In the meantime, we have removed the damaged vehicle from the highway.
