People returning to their busy life after Eid holidays

Working people have started returning to Dhaka after five consecutive days of Eid holidays. Office opened from Wednesday (June 19). However, traffic jam was not seen anywhere in the capital today. There were very little public transport on the roads.

Transport officials said that the pressure of Dhaka-bound passengers may increase from tomorrow Thursday.

Last Monday (June 17), the holy Eid-ul-Azha or the Eid of Sacrifice, one of the main religious festivals of Muslims, was celebrated across the country. On the occasion of Eid, June 16, 17 and 18 are public holidays. But before that, the 14th and 15th were Friday and Saturday, so the employees got a total of five days off.

Many of those who returned to Dhaka said that the office opened from today, so they came to Dhaka only yesterday. Others left early on Wednesday and returned to work between 8 and 9 am. Since morning,
Mohakhali, Jatrabari and Syedabad of the capital have been seen empy. Some passengers roaming here and there. Most of the passengers coming from far away in the cars are working people. Same situation at Sadarghat launch terminal. Many are returning alone, some are returning with their families.

Meanwhile, launches loaded with passengers from various routes of the country including Barishal, Bhola, Charfashan, Bhandaria, Lalmohan have started crowding the Sadarghat terminal.
