Six people lost their lives in collision between a bus and a mahindra at Gariyapar area in Barishal. Four more were also injured in the accident.
The accident took place at Madabpasha road adjacent to Gariyapar at around 9 am on Friday.
The deceased are- Khokon (30) of Kashipur area of Barishal, mahindra driver Sohel (25) of Gonopara area, Shila Halder (24)- a masters student of mathematics department under Barishal BM College, Parvin Begum (30) of Madhabpasha Durgasagar area, Manik Shikder (40) of Bakerganj and an unidentified women (50).
Officer in Charge of Airport police station in Barishal city Abdur Rahman Mukul said, a passenger laden mahindra from Barishal was heading towards Banaripara. At Around 9 am head on collision occurred between a bus of Durjoy Paribahan and the mahindra at Gariyapar area. Local people rescued the injured and sent them to Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.
