Central Command Centre to Begin Operations This Evening: Press Secretary

Shafiqul Alam, the Press Secretary to the Chief Advisor has announced that law and order will improve significantly. A Central Command Centre, comprising joint security forces, will commence operations this evening.

Speaking at a briefing at the Foreign Service Academy on Sunday (February 9) afternoon, he stated, "To monitor and enhance law and order, a Central Command Centre will be operational from this evening with the coordination of all security forces. We expect to see rapid improvements in the situation."

He further noted that global food grain prices are declining, which will also have a positive impact on Bangladesh. "We anticipate a decrease in food grain prices," he said.

Discussing the economy, he mentioned, "Over the past five months, the economy has made a 10% recovery. We expect inflation to drop by 7% by July, and there will be no additional inflationary pressure during Ramadan."

Regarding foreign investments, he stated that land-related issues for the Korean EPZ in Bangladesh have been resolved, and the necessary documents have been handed over. This will pave the way for significant Korean investments in the country.

"The previous government attempted to seize the land designated for the Korean EPZ, which led to substantial Korean investments being redirected to Vietnam. However, these issues have now been fully resolved," he added.
