Chinese President Xi Jinping has commenced a bilateral meeting with Professor Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Advisor of the interim government of Bangladesh.
The meeting began at 10:00 AM local time (Beijing time) on Friday (March 28th) at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
This information was confirmed by Abul Kalam Azad Mazumder, the Deputy Press Secretary to the Chief Advisor.
Later in the day, Professor Yunus is scheduled to participate in an 'Investment Dialogue' with leading Chinese business figures at the Presidential Beijing.
Earlier, on Thursday (March 27th) at 10:20 PM local time, Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus arrived in Beijing, the capital city, from Hainan province.
Upon his arrival, Dr. Muhammad Yunus was received by Chinese Vice Minister Sun Weidong, according to information from the Chief Advisor's press wing.
During his stay in Hainan province, Dr. Muhammad Yunus had a busy schedule attending the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference.
