Interim government Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus has reaffirmed his commitment to building a united Bangladesh, regardless of any obstacles that may arise.
Speaking at the National Eidgah on Monday (March 31) after performing the Eid-ul-Fitr prayers, Dr Yunus exchanged greetings with worshippers and delivered his message of unity.
"I extend my heartfelt Eid greetings to all who participated in the Eid prayers across the country, including women and expatriate workers. Eid is a day of togetherness and love. We aspire to strengthen and sustain our built unity," he said.
Honoring the warriors of July, he added, "We must always remember those who sacrificed their lives in the mass uprising. Let us pray for the recovery of the injured. Moving forward, we will stand as a united nation and fulfill the dreams of those who fought in July."
The main Eid congregation, held at 8:30 am, was attended by Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus, along with Religious Affairs Adviser AFM Khalid Hossain, Energy Adviser Fauzul Kabir Khan, Supreme Court justices, diplomats from various countries, the administrator of Dhaka South City, politicians, intellectuals, secretaries, and people from diverse backgrounds.
