The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has decided to keep the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) unchanged for April 2025.
According to BERC's announcement on Sunday (April 6), the retail price of a 12-kg LPG cylinder will remain at 1,450 taka, the same as the previous month.
Meanwhile, the price of autogas has seen a slight drop of 2 paisa, bringing it down from 66.43 taka to 66.41 taka per liter. The new rate will take effect from 6 pm today.
Earlier on March 3, the price of a 12-kg LPG cylinder was reduced by 28 taka to reach 1,450 taka. In February, it had been increased by 19 taka to 1,478 taka.
Last year, LPG and autogas prices were reduced four times and increased seven times. The prices remained unchanged only once, in December.
Price hikes occurred in January, February, March, July, August, September, and October, while reductions were made in April, May, June, and November.
