In a move to provide relief to consumers, the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) has been reduced once again in Bangladesh.
The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced on Sunday (May 04) that the price of a standard 12-kg LPG cylinder has been reduced by Tk 19. As a result, the new retail price stands at Tk 1,431.
This price adjustment is applicable at the consumer level and is expected to ease household expenses slightly amid ongoing economic pressures.
BERC regularly reviews and updates the price of LPG following changes in the international market and other economic indicators.
The new rate comes into effect immediately, as per the official statement issued by the commission.
