BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has returned to Bangladesh from London after receiving medical treatment. Her arrival was warmly welcomed by Sarjis Alam, Chief Organiser (Northern Region) of the National Citizen Party (NCP).
In a Facebook post shared on his verified page around 12:30 pm on Tuesday (May 06), Sarjis expressed his well-wishes for Khaleda Zia's health and longevity.
He wrote, "Welcome back to Bangladesh, BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. We hope that she and her party will continue to stand firm in defending democracy, guided by the ideals that inspired countless students and citizens to sacrifice during the July uprising. May she be blessed with good health and a long life."
Khaleda Zia returned on Tuesday morning after a four-month stay abroad. She arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:40 am aboard a special air ambulance provided by the Emir of Qatar.
