No falsehoods about the July Uprising will be tolerated, warned Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, Advisor to the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, and Youth and Sports.

He issued this warning in a post on his verified Facebook account late Sunday night (February 16).
Asif Mahmud wrote, "Many people are saying many things for political purposes, and that’s fine. But do not distort the history of the July Uprising."

He further stated, "We will not tolerate any lies about the July Uprising, which was achieved through the blood of this generation. While we may remain silent on many issues, we cannot stay silent about this. Stop the dirty game of hijacking history."
