MP Anar murder: 3 accused put on 8-day remand

A Dhaka court has placed three people on an eight-day remand each in a case filed over the murder of Jhenaidah-4 MP Anwarul Azim Anar.

The accused are Syed Amanullah Aman alias Shimul Bhuiyan, Faisal Ali Saji alias Tanvir Bhuiyan and Shilasti Rahman.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Dilruba Afroz Tithi passed the order on Friday (May 24).

Police brought the accused before the court at noon. Later, Detective Branch (DB) Assistant Commissioner Mahfuzul Islam, also the investigation officer of the case, sought a 10-day remand. After the hearing, the court granted them an eight-day remand.

Earlier, Syed Amanullah Aman alias Shimul Bhuiyan, Faisal Ali Shazi alias Tanvir Bhuiyan and Shilasti Rahman were shown arrested in the case.
