Tuku-Palak-Saikat in 10 days remand

The court granted a 10-day remand to former Deputy Speaker Shamsul Haque Tuku, former State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak, and general secretary of Dhaka University Chhatra League Tanvir Hasan Saikat in the murder case.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rashidul Alam gave the order on Thursday (August 15).

Earlier, the police produced the accused in court and applied for a ten-day remand for proper investigation of the case. After the hearing, the court granted them a 10-day remand.

They were arrested while hiding from the Nikunja residential area of ​​Khilkhet police station on Wednesday (August 14) night. They were then taken to the DB office at the capital's Minto Road.

On July 19, rickshaw puller Kamal Mia (39) was shot dead in the Paltan police station area during the quota movement. The victim's wife Fatema Khatun (36) filed a murder case in the capital's Paltan police station on July 20 accusing the unidentified perpetrators.
