Responsibility of four Advisors increased

The duties of four advisors to the interim government have been extended. According to the order of the President, this responsibility increased to them.

Mahbub Hossain, the Secretary of the Cabinet Department confirmed this information on Tuesday (August 27) and said that a notification has been issued in this regard.

According to the notification, Commerce and Finance Advisor Salehuddin Ahmed has also been given the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Hasan Arif, advisor to the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, has also been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Lands.

Advisor to the Ministry of Textiles and Jute Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr M Sakhawat Hossain has got the responsibility of another ministry. The Ministry of Shipping has been added under his purview.

Sharmeen S Murshid, advisor to the Ministry of Social Welfare, has been added to the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs.

The responsibility of these ministries was previously vested in the Chief Advisor. Currently the Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus has the responsibility of six ministries.
