10 Platoons of BGB Deployed in Dhaka, Chattogram

A total of 10 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed in the capital Dhaka and Chattogram Metropolitan City to maintain law and order.

BGB revealed this information in a notification on Tuesday (November 26).

According to BGB, 4 platoons of BGB have been deployed in Shahbagh, Matsya Bhaban, and Intercontinental Dhaka hotel areas of Dhaka city to maintain law and order following recent incidents of unrest.

Meanwhile, 6 platoons of BGB have also been deployed in Chattogram Metropolitan City for the same reason.

It is known that the detective police arrested the former ISKCON leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari from the capital's Shahjalal International Airport on Monday (November 25) afternoon on his way to Chattogram.

When he was produced before the court of Kazi Shariful Islam of Chattogram Metropolitan-6 on Tuesday (November 26) afternoon, the judge rejected his bail in the sedition case and ordered him to be sent to jail. The government has taken precautionary measures across the country to maintain normalcy in the situation.
