BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman said this in a message on the occasion of 'International Mother's Day'. On the occasion of International Mother's Day today, Sunday, he extended greetings and congratulations to all mothers in Bangladesh and around the world and wished them continued happiness, peace, and prosperity.

Highlighting the love of a child for their mother, Tarique Rahman said, "Mother's Day is a respectful international day, celebrated for the importance and contribution of mothers in society and family. Children have love for their mothers every day, yet this day is specifically for expressing that love uniquely. In the family, a mother is a remarkable institution. The future of a child is built upon the teachings of a great mother."

Tarique Rahman further said, "A mother shields her child amidst all struggles, wiping away all the day's fatigue and weariness. In the company of a good mother, a child's excellence and the awakening of true humanity occur, making the child's soul pure, transparent, and sacred. Many countries and cultures have given an extraordinary dimension by adopting Mother's Day programs."

Referring to Begum Khaleda Zia as the torchbearer of women's education, he said that the life of the leader of the nation, Begum Khaleda Zia, has been one of continuous struggle, sacrifice, tireless hard work, compassion for the people, and genuine love in the democratic development of the state and the building of an advanced society. During the BNP's time in power under her leadership, there was a widespread expansion of women's education. During the BNP's rule, the leader of the nation took various initiatives to prevent girls from dropping out of school. On this day, I pay deep respect to the torchbearer of women's education, the 'Mother of Democracy', Begum Khaleda Zia.

Tarique Rahman said, "From childhood, the name of the mother is intertwined with every human emotion – joy, sorrow, fear, or excitement. On this day, my expectation is that all mothers will be able to raise their children as worthy and good citizens. Only a good mother can guide her child on a flawless and correct path."
