Cox's Bazar has seen a massive surge in visitors on the third day of Eid. Since early morning, thousands of tourists have flocked to the main beach points—Kalatoli, Sugandha, and Laboni—as well as other scenic spots like Inani Beach, Patuartek, and Himchari's natural waterfalls.
Tourist hotspots have been bustling with activity, with people enjoying the waves, riding horses, jet skis, and water bikes, or simply relaxing under umbrellas while admiring the ocean’s beauty.
Enhanced Security Measures
To ensure safety, the Tourist Police and district law enforcement have been actively patrolling these areas alongside plainclothes intelligence personnel.
Apel Mahmud, Additional DIG of Cox's Bazar Tourist Police Region, stated that round-the-clock security measures are in place at the beach and hotel-motel zones. A three-layer security system has been implemented, with dedicated information centers set up at the three main beach points.
Hotels Fully Booked as Tourist Numbers Soar
Lifeguard officials report that approximately 1.5 to 2 lakh tourists have gathered at various points along the Cox's Bazar coastline and in residential hotels.
According to hotel industry sources, more than 500 hotels, motels, guest houses, and cottages in Cox's Bazar are operating at full capacity. Business owners estimate an average of 1.5 lakh tourists arriving daily during the holiday season.
Abul Kasem, President of the Cox's Bazar Residential Hotel Owners Association, mentioned that tourist numbers are rising steadily, with visitors enjoying a secure and hassle-free vacation experience.
