Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith has said, those who term share market as feeble market are enemy of the market.
He said this at the inaugural ceremony of the investment education fair and conference organized by Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) in Sylhet on Saturday.
Answering a question the Finance Minister said, a lot of cases were filed following the manipulations in the share market. It is not true that any action is not taken. But the actions cannot be taken immediately.
He said, there was no discipline in the share market once upon a time. But discipline has restored by BSEC over seven years of hard work. Now it is an expanding sector.
He also said, there is no benefit to invest in share market only depending on fate. Investment should be made by being aware. For this the BSEC conference fair is being organized. Through this the people of Bangladesh can know about the market.
The minister expressed satisfaction over the present situation of share market of Bangladesh. He also hoped that the base of share market will be stronger in the coming two years.
Securities Exchange Chairman Dr. M Khairul Hossain and concerned officials of share market also spoke on the occasion.
