The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has announced new prices for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for consumers.
On Monday (March 3) afternoon, BERC Chairman Jalal Ahmed revealed in a press conference that the price of a 12 kg LPG cylinder has been reduced by Tk28, bringing the new price to Tk1,450.
Furthermore, the price of autogas has been adjusted, with a decrease of Tk1.31, setting the new price at Tk66.43.
These revised prices will take effect from 6 pm on Monday.
Previously, on February 2, the price of a 12 kg cylinder was increased by Tk19, bringing it to Tk1,478. The price of autogas had been set at Tk67.74.
In 2024, the prices of LPG and autogas saw four reductions and seven increases.
The price hikes occurred in January, February, March, July, August, September, and October, while the prices were lowered in April, May, June, and November. The prices remained unchanged in December.
