Papul’s parliamentary constituency declared vacant

The post of parliamentary membership (MP) of Shahid Islam Papul from Lakhsmipur-2 constituency has been announced vacant. The parliament secretariat has issued a notification in this regard on Monday. The notification said, as Shahid Islam had been awarded four years rigorous imprisonment by a Kuwaiti criminal court for moral degradation, so he is not eligible to remain in his post of Member of Parliament according to the section 66(2)(Gha) of the Bangladesh constitution.

Posts of 17 BSEC directors declared vacant

Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has issued order declaring 17 posts of directors of nine stock market listed companies vacant for not having two percent shares. Executive Director of BSEC and spokesman for the commission Mohammad Rezaul Karim confirmed the information and said, letters were issued against 17 directors of the nine companies in this regard in the evening.
